Responsibilities

Prepare and estimate budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications and performing quantity take offs.Develop and prepare conceptual estimates with minimal subcontractor assistance using limited preliminary design documents/information for future projects in early development stages.Develop contractor/subcontractor interest in projects and manage the subcontractor RFP process.Assist in the preparation of bid packages, specifically schedule of values and quantities, for engineering and construction projects.Assist in the preparation of detailed critical path job schedules.Evaluate bid responses received from contractors and subcontractors.Develop resource loading and/or evaluate resource loading provided by contractors/subcontractors.Maintain and calibrate the construction estimating tool.Track the market and follow market trends (commodity and labor pricing).Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.Monitor construction process to support the Construction team in responses to change order requests from contractors and subcontractors.Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and subcontractors in the various markets.Follow Company’s processes and procedures to safely and effectively design and test Acciona renewable generating facilities for “Best in Class Performance”.Maintain a current understanding of renewable generation technology by participating in various training opportunities and reading Acciona and industry documents and publications as well as participating in other professional development activities.Ensure compliance of self and others on site during construction with federal, state and local laws and with Acciona’s safety and environmental standards, policies and practices.Provide input for the weekly and monthly reporting requirements for our internal and external customers, as well as KPI reporting.Other responsibilities as assigned.Required Qualifications:

4 Year degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or 10+/- years of experience.Experience in estimating for utility scale renewable energy projects or large transmission/substation projects is a plus.Extensive knowledge of industry practices, procedures, and market trends.Proficient with commercial estimating software such as: MC2, Timberline/SageCRE, QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff, RSmeans, etc.Maintain professionalism when faced with aggressive deadlines.Ability to navigate specifications and plans.Proficiency in evaluating proposals and projects.Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.Close attention to detail.Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.Review basic software generated estimates for completion and technical accuracy ensuring quality and integrity.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide training on complex operations to others.Demonstrate continuous commitment to safe operations. Be an active role model and constant resource to the organization.Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and AutoCAD.Ability to communicate detailed information accurately to internal/external customers.Ability to professionally represent the company when dealing with external organizations.Ability to travel 10% - 20% of time to domestic and international locations.Able to work in an indoor or outdoor environment.Have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.Fluency in Spanish is a plus.As a company that values diversity as a source of talent, we work to foster an inclusive environment that promotes respect, belonging, and engagement so that all people can participate on an equal opportunity basis.
