Our goal is to attract physician faculty who are dedicated to providing the best care to their patients, enriching the medical education experience of our enthusiastic residents and students, and pursuing the improvement for women’s health care.Position SummaryThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Peoria campus of the University of Illinois College of Medicine seeks a full-time General Obstetrician and Gynecologist to provide comprehensive health care in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, including actively participating in the educational and clinical training of residents and medical students.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in obstetrics and gynecology, encompassing both outpatient and inpatient settings.Actively participate in the teaching of residents and medical students in the context of clinical obstetrics and gynecology, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.Engage in scholarly activities.Contribute to departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and healthcare delivery.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMD or DO.Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Illinois.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated ability to teach residents and medical students.Experience or interest in research and academic leadership preferred.The University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria offers a competitive salary, generous paid leave, enrollment in the State University Retirement System pension, including relocation expenses, occurrence-based malpractice coverage, and opportunities for retention bonuses. Academic offices are connected to a quaternary care hospital with a Level I Trauma Center, one of the most comprehensive neuroscience centers in the Midwest, and the largest children’s hospital in downstate Illinois. Faculty also have access to a world-class medical simulation center.
