We're ready to help you achieve more.Purpose:This position within the Sales and Distribution organization will report to the SVP, Business Development and Account Management Leader. The role will include business development of key prospects and ongoing account management of large distribution partners. A key focus will be to expand Athene's annuity distribution reach to Institutional/Affinity, Insurance owned Brokerage, and new channels.Building growth agendas and successful execution against well thought out key partner business plans will be a top priority for the individual in this position. Market research and evaluation of new channels of distribution for Athene's annuity products will be critical. The VP Account Manager will be proficient in all aspects of business development, relationship management and strategic account management.This role will work closely with all functional areas in Athene to include marketing, sales operations/on-boarding, product management, operations, customer service and legal/compliance to ensure successful launches. Executive presence and effective communication is expected.Finally, the VP-Account Manager role will leverage established industry relationships for Athene to achieve stated expansion efforts, sales goals and company objectives.Accountabilities:Proactively manage a package of “Tier 1” Key Distribution relationships as defined by your manager and represent Athene’s brand / value proposition.Research and evaluate new channels of distribution, and obtain selling agreements in the Institutional/Affinity, Insurance owned Brokerage, and other markets.Provide executive summary Firm Profiles for Sales team and executive management, including Firm “Relationship Mapping”, key initiatives, campaigns and promotional opportunities.Build comprehensive business plans for each assigned Tier 1 Account and ensure successful execution (with Distributor and Athene cross-functional teams).Develop brand new key accounts for Athene, including business development negotiation through implementation.Furnish Sales and Marketing Team with Key Distributor Centers of Influence, Rep Lists, and opportunities for growth.Identify key distributor National Conferences, Regional Meetings & Advisor Education Forum opportunities, and coordinate Athene Sales Team participation.In collaboration with Internal Account Management resources, on-boarding manager and operations BRM team, prioritize and expedite launches of new Distribution Partners.Marshall resources across the entire organization to drive high service standards; deliver consistent and effective communication.Obtain Broker-dealer approvals for new or enhanced product submissions and critical marketing materials.Partner with internal Athene resources to expand relationships and provide key distributors with Athene campaigns/important communications.Qualifications and Experience:10+ years annuity industry experience required (business development / national account management).FINRA Series 6 required within 6 months of hire.FINRA Series 63 preferred.Required travel time: 60-75%.Established relationships with Institutional/Affinity, Insurance owned Brokerage, and other Broker Dealers/Financial Institutions strongly preferred.Strong strategic thinking and business planning acumen.Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management as well as other departments in a collaborative environment.Detail oriented, well-organized self-starter with high energy.Exceptional presentation and communication skills.Bachelor’s Degree and Industry Certifications preferred.Salary:

$96,080.00 - $144,120.00 USD AnnualAnnual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
