Director, Mortgage Sales , who will be responsible for all aspects of originations, timely actions, and setting reasonable expectations with members, operations, and vendors. Meeting sales goals, optimizing financial performance within the department, pipeline accountability and performance expectations of the MLO team. Will introduce industry best practices and scale the department for growth in alignment with market conditions and the credit union business model.Key Responsibilities:Managing, leading, directing, training, and motivating the Mortgage Loan Originators in the production of mortgage loans, home equity loans, home improvement loans, and other consumer real estate loans.Achieving growth in revenue and in the portfolio in alignment with leadership targets while optimizing the sales process and staffing effectively and efficiently.Providing constant feedback to leadership from all sources to allow for the opportunity to adjust the mortgage and real estate lending program regarding rates, fees, and loan programs.Understanding the various aspects of mortgage loan pricing including servicing value, gain on sale, interest income, origination fees, and discounts/rebates that can be considered in structuring the pricing of a loan.Occasionally originating loans and assisting MLO's with disclosures, concerns, rates, and loan program questions.Developing and deepening relationships with new and existing realtors in alignment with the outside MLO strategy.Ensuring MLO's are following loan guidelines and providing proper documentation.Ensuring the quality of loan files and compliance of all regulations.Managing effective communication with our members, vendors & operations to run a high performing team.Constant recruiting to ensure ongoing success and conducting consistent MLO meetings to provide information, training, and coaching.Candidates for EECU should possess the following knowledge and experience:Minimum 10 years in the real estate lending industry, with a minimum of 8 years originating FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA mortgage loans.Current NMLS number required.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Symitar, Encompass –LOS system, and Blend.Proficient in calculating debt ratios, loan to value ratios, evaluating credit reports, title work/abstracts, appraisals, sales contracts, flood certificates, surveys, insurance taxes, exemptions, escrow analysis, private mortgage insurance.Ability to make decisions, interpersonal skills, organized and structured characteristics.Excellent time management skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proven strength in leadership and development of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Working knowledge of Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining to lending. Knowledgeable of credit union products and services.Knowledge of conforming products, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae (FHA and VA) Reverse Mortgages, and escrow analysis required.College degree required.EECU will, in compliance with applicable laws, evaluate an applicant's credit history. Only applicants with good credit history will be considered for open positions.Responsible for compliance with all Federal and State rules and regulations pertaining but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Bribery Act, NCUA Privacy Regulations, Reg B, Reg Z, Reg DD, Reg E, Reg CC, Service Members Civil Relief, and FCRA/FACTA.
