The Chicago Department of Public Health has granted CPS to bolster the following capabilities:Management and sharing of communicable disease data between Chicago Public Schools and the Local Health DepartmentImprovement of data quality (business processes, governance, systems/applications, etc.)Efficiency of public health response to disease outbreaks for Chicago Public School studentsThe purpose is to increase CPS’ ability to respond more effectively and efficiently to health emergency situations.Data Strategist Key Responsibilities

Perform data analysis and generate reports using various data sources, both for internal and external useManage internal department databases and data setsHelp develop and implement process improvements in collaboration with internal and external stakeholdersValidate Procurement-driven cost savings and value-added initiativesPerform other duties and responsibilities, as neededRequirements

Business Analysis Responsibilities:

Conducts and facilitates requirement gathering sessions, Performs Fit/Gap Analysis, and develops and documents Business, and System Requirements as well as User Story and Use Case Scenarios.Conducts and facilitates Joint Application Design sessions and develops functional and technical design documentation for use in development of business process changes and report creations.Performs and validates System Configuration and Set ups in all test environments, conducts Conference Room Pilots and deploys changes into Production.Ability to document test strategy, test plan and write test scenarios, cases, and scripts.Experience leading testing efforts including System, Integration, Users Acceptance Testing and preparing User Training Material and Delivering Training to the User community.Provide project defect management.Conducts and facilitates business process analysis sessions and develops documentation of business process models, workflows, business requirements, use case scenarios, user story documentation, functional specifications and designs, and requirements traceability matrix.Implements PMO documentation standards and SDLC processes and provides process improvement recommendations.Efficiently performs assigned Level 2 Support tasks in the functional area for the relevant Business Applications.Drives resolutions for any support escalations from Business Leaders and Technical Support.Required Deliverables:

Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration or other similar quantitative fieldCertification(s) in PMI PBA, CBAP, ITIL, CBAPType of Experience and Number of Years:

Business Analysis experience in cross-functional implementationsMinimum five (5) years of related business analysis experience requiredMinimum five (5) years of related data analysis experience required.Experience in Education (K-12) project or program work, preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong organization skills and ability to multitaskStrong communication skillsDetail-oriented and ability to work independently and collaboratively
