The LPN provides nursing care to chronically ill and/or stabilized acutely ill patients who require rehabilitation and nursing services in the CLC, a VA Long Term Care (LTC) facility. Assigned duties include but are not limited to the following:Prepares, administers, records, and communicates results of medications, vital signs, treatments, etc.Reports and records gross and subtle changes in patient's status.Recognizes and initiates appropriate response in emergent situations such as cardiac and/or pulmonary arrests.Completes pain evaluations and provides education or refers for further evaluation.Documents in medical record patient information including responses to treatments and procedures.Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with peers, coworkers, supervisor, and other health care system personnel.Participates in patient teaching activities.WORK SCHEDULE:
