Senior Accountant

Shipt Shoppers handpick everything from fresh groceries to household essentials, then deliver them to your door in as little as one hour.Your ResponsibilitiesPrepare margin-related journal entries and perform account reconciliation reviews and fluctuation analysis in support of timely and accurate month-end financial reporting.Lead Sales Tax initiatives and compliance, including sales tax audit support, as well as supporting ongoing evaluation of item classification.Support cross-functional fraud mitigation efforts through financial analysis and modeling.Develop new and maintain existing partner billings and ensure ongoing completeness and accuracy.Continually seek to improve and automate existing processes.Enhance documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.Perform ad-hoc analysis and special projects.RequirementsUndergraduate degree in Accounting.Strong understanding of GAAP.3+ years of relevant Accounting or Finance experience.Excellent modeling skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel); ability to build detailed financial models.Proficiency with SQL and Tableau (or strong interest in learning).Strong business problem solving, judgment and prioritization.Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to cultivate cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with management and business partners.Ability to work successfully in an ambiguous, fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Curious mindset with a focus on process improvement.Nice to HavesCPA.Previous experience with Workday ERP.Work ArrangementShipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections.
