OVERVIEW:

The LGIMA Investment Analytics team is responsible for providing market-leading analytics for the firm’s suite of investment solutions. This mandate encompasses areas such as performance, attribution, risk, and portfolio/benchmark construction analysis for the benefit of our clients and internal investment management teams, in addition to building tools to support analysis. The team partners with Client Solutions, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Operations, and IT to deliver on our goals. Our focus on scalability, quality, and sophistication of analytics is essential to supporting LGIMA’s objective of providing a superior client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Own all related GIPS calculations and composite maintenance.

Partner with investments, marketing, operations, and compliance teams to develop appropriate policies and procedures for GIPS.

Manage the GIPS verification process.

Liaise with the London performance team for keeping consistency and best practices.

Contribute to local and global strategic analytics, performance, and reporting systems projects.

Maintain and improve information and documentation sourcing and storage processes to ensure comprehensive audit trail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering. Progress towards an advanced degree and/or CFA/CIPM desired.

Strong knowledge of GIPS standards and verification process.

Desire to improve efficiency in existing processes and create new processes with a mind-set towards automation.

Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills along with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

5+ years of experience in investment performance and/or GIPS.

Solid understanding of capital markets and the investment management business.

Intuitive and intellectually curious; ability to identify themes within data sets.

Demonstrated organizational and project management skills; ability to multi-task and manage complex assignments.

Self-confidence; ability to function as both a self-starter and a team player.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management as well as colleagues in global offices.

Highly proactive and energetic focus toward internal and external client service; ability to consistently meet all internal/external deadlines.

Strong individual initiative with the ability to take a proactive approach to assigned projects and new team initiatives.

Flexibility; ability to adapt to growth and change.

Basic programming and/or statistical software experience (advanced Excel/VBA, SQL, Matlab, Python, R, etc.) desired.

Experience with market data, portfolio analytics, and GIPS systems.
