About The RoleWe are CrowdStrike, a fast-growing security company that protects our wide range of customers from cybersecurity attacks. We’re investing in Release engineers who are energetic, eager to learn, flexible, and capable of managing large scale/complex engineering projects in a fast-paced environment.As a Release Engineer you will focus on the Release Management lifecycle, which includes coordinating and management of releases across multiple teams. You will also help build automated release processes in support of deploying various applications across our environments. When necessary you will provide tools and services to the engineering teams and delivery teams to ensure quality releases. You will be responsible for managing multiple releases across multiple environments collaborating with multiple groups.

What You'll DoDisplay the ability to collaborate, while still driving a release process end to endEstablish consistent release management processes and cadenceFacilitate cross-department coordination of release management functionsDevelop scripts and automation tools used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platformsTrack and manage a multi-platform release calendarInform staff and management of multiple worldwide business units (including subject matter experts, design teams, and technology teams) of release risk and work to effectively mitigate itMeasure release cadence and effectiveness using common metrics across the platform portfolio and identify opportunities for greater efficiencyDefine common mechanisms for rollback and standards for capturing release-related performance indicatorsEnsure accurate and efficient release blocker meetingsContinually work towards making improvements in the release process.Lead and coordinate go-live activities

What You'll NeedPreferred United States citizenFamiliarity with common CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or BitbucketOther tools/languages Jira, Confluence, Splunk, Python, GoProblem solver who can work with multiple releases in a fast paced environmentExperience working in a release management capacity for software developmentAbility to collaborate with multiple teams to diagnose and debug complex issuesExperience with Systems Development Lifecycle, specifically Agile/Scrum.Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.Must work effectively and professionally with cross-functional groups across divisions, worldwide, as part of a team.Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail, and have the ability to make good, timely decisions.Comfort with proactively and independently driving for results in small team environments.Mobile (Android/iOS) release management a plus

This role will require the candidate to periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint check(s) consistent with government customer requirements.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $175,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
