Vice President of Sales

will report directly to the President of

Oregonian Media Group

and drive revenue growth for the company as a key member of the leadership team. This role is also responsible for forecasting, budgeting, project planning and other administrative tasks to grow our financial revenue streams.The

Vice President of Sales

leads the local sales team, directing efforts to develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at profitable revenue growth and increase market share with a keen focus on producing top tier client results. This position oversees sales efforts across key industry verticals, providing expert guidance and counsel to integrate a suite of digital offerings spanning proprietary targeting and delivery applications, and third-party offerings including search engine marketing, search engine optimization, social media optimization, targeted video, and more. Staff management activities are aimed at cultivating leadership and professional development to ensure a vibrant workforce reflective of the community we serve.Required Education, Experience And Skills

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business or Marketing preferred10-15 years experience in marketing and sales with at least 5 years to include management in interactive/digitalKnowledge of SMO/SEO, analytics and media placementProven experience in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategiesStrong business acumen, communication, presentation and analytical skillsAbility to develop and implement effective solutions for strategic marketing challengesDemonstrated leadership skills and proven experience in planning and managing organizational changeAbility to effectively represent the company‘s strategic vision and goals throughout the organization and communityAbility to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholdersDuties And Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities, work schedules and/or location may change based on evolving business needsDevelop and implement successful sales and marketing strategies for our full line of products, including digital and print mediaDrive sales initiatives to meet or exceed established revenue goalsCollaborate with creative and technologies groups to ensure projects are developed to defined objectivesAttract, retain, and provide motivation for top talentThis job requires reliable transportation to meet with customers.Position is remote/hybrid. In office as needed.Extensive computer use required. Flexible hours required. We are a “remote first” work environment.
