is hiring for a

CT Technologist.Schedule:Monday-FridayEvening Shift 3pm-11pmPay Range:

$40 - $50Responsibilities:Performs all CT examinations according to department procedure manual and established protocols.Interviews patients for history pertaining to CT exam, including unusual conditions or limitations.Prepares and/or administers contrast media, oral and IV contrast.Monitors and observes any abnormal changes in patients' color, respiration, heart rate, and responsiveness. Responds appropriately to emergency situations, administers first aid/CPR as needed.Maintains emergency equipment to ensure availability.Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and visual ID band inspection as stated in the Radiology Safety Manual.Provides radiation protection to patients and staff according to prescribed radiation safety standards.Assists and/or moves patients independently to and from wheelchairs, stretchers, and CT scan table.Prepares patients for procedures according to established Radiology Department protocols.Visually verifies accuracy of radiology order by checking physician's order in patients' chart or prescription.Assists radiologists in IR CT examinations.Uses hospital information system, via EPIC to access laboratory results for exam-related information.Qualifications:Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.Two years of experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist.CPR certification is required.CT certification is required.Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
