Adolescents in Elevate Academy have faced adverse experiences that have negatively impacted their physical, emotional, and social well-being. As a result of their experiences they have anxiety, attachment issues, are depressed and are managing their feelings in unhealthy, dangerous or self-destructive ways. They’ve lost interest in activities they once enjoyed, avoid school, and have distanced themselves from good friends, positive role models and family members.

We are seeking a Clinical Director to lead the clinical treatment program of Elevate Academy at The Heritage Community. This position will provide strategic direction and supervision to those responsible for delivering services to teens enrolled in Elevate Academy. Knowledge and Abilities:

Practiced knowledge and understanding of complex trauma, with proven experience in clinical theories and applications for treating PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, reactive attachment disorder, etc.

A well-rounded understanding of the DSM, including experience with addictions and substance abuse.

Management and teaching skills to lead clinical professionals & practices effectively.

Excellence in flexibility and adaptability to handle unexpected events in treatment.

Good computer skills, with the ability to learn and utilize the company’s internal technical tools, including Google and Microsoft suite of tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide leadership in strategic planning efforts by defining clinical programs, outcomes, and best practice service delivery models.

Review treatment plans, case notes and written correspondence in order to verify that such documents meet county, state and federal agency standards.

Monitor and maintain clinical quality improvement efforts.

Utilize the latest data and maintain awareness of trends and innovations in the behavioral health field.

Contribute to strategic and operational planning efforts for the organization: development of annual organizational goals and monitoring of performance in the context of strategic planning goals.

Work with the Senior Leadership team to monitor Heritage’s finances, develop budgets and reach consensus on the organizational direction and to communicate Heritage’s mission, vision, and performance internally and externally.

Ensure client rights are met, including grievance rights and issues regarding client confidentiality.

Provide and/or coordinate clinical training for all clinical and program staff relevant to the clients, families, and community.

Hire and supervise clinical staff and coordinate staff development and training.

Develop and manage direct reports; provide ongoing feedback and coaching, conduct performance reviews, ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Seasoned and mature leadership with at least 10 years of clinical experience delivering outcome-based mental health services.

Completed Master's Degree in a mental health field (i.e., Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, etc.).

Completed Utah license (LCSW, CMHC, LMFT, LPC, etc.).

Minimum of eight (8) years of progressively responsible clinical experience.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience managing a clinical team and providing clinical supervision.
