DevOps engineer consultant
within the Application Performance Monitoring/Observability team, you will be the product owner for the team’s backlog of work while driving the team’s work for each 2-week sprint and providing roadmaps and planning on a quarterly basis. You’ll work directly with our domain architect and help with future architectural goals through growth and cost patterns that ensure Progressive’s tool usage is in-line with expectations. You will also lend your technical expertise to various efforts and value streams to ensure the deployment and usage of all monitoring capabilities are maximized. Lastly, you will work closely with our vendors to ensure we have the capabilities, support, and necessary reporting to continue their use.Must-have Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Information Technology discipline or related field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunication, Math) and minimum of eight years working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.In lieu of degree, minimum of ten years related experience working with operating system hardware and/or software components in designing and scripting infrastructure solutions.Preferred Skills
Experience developing product goals and prioritizing a backlog to achieve results with the highest business value inclusive of industry trends and vendor strategies in addition to customer input.Working with internal and external customers, communicating business requirements to internal teams and external development partners, measuring, mentoring and motivating the teams to improve processes, and facilitating decision-making processes.Strong skillset in proactively managing various levels of stakeholders to ensure expectations are understood and met; proven interpersonal, communications, and relationship building skills to quickly establish credibility and influence across organizational boundaries.Able to assimilate technical concepts quickly to solve complex problem-sets, and consistently demonstrate the aptitude and passion to learn new skills; experience leveraging integration techniques and automation tools to evolve platform capabilities.Knowledge and experience with application performance monitoring / observability tools (such as AppDynamics, Quantum Metrics, and Splunk Observability suite of products), Cloud Solutions, Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes in an Agile/Scrum environment.Compensation
$132,000-$162,000/yearGainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance.Benefits
