POSITION SUMMARYAre you a detail-oriented and responsive attorney with a passion for maintaining the accessibility and reliability of information? ARCHER Systems, a leading technology-enabled legal services company, is seeking a licensed attorney to join our team in Houston, TX. As In-House Counsel, you will play a vital role in drafting, negotiating, and filing legal documents and sustaining the quality of contracts according to the guidelines set by the General Counsel. Your expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of contracts in a timely manner.Position Location:
HoustonJob ResponsibilitiesProvide project scope and pricing support, assisting in creating accurate and comprehensive contract proposals.Draft and negotiate client contracts in alignment with the guidelines established by the General Counsel, ensuring contractual terms meet legal requirements and mitigate risks.Ensure approved contracts are executed promptly, maintaining an organized repository of executed and in-process contracts.Perform regular audits to identify and resolve any conflicting terms in related contracts.Manage contract renewals, terminations, amendments, and extensions, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure seamless transitions.Draft proposed motions and orders for establishing 468B qualified settlement funds and various legal documents, including, but not limited to, nondisclosure agreements, indemnity agreements, confidentiality agreements, HIPAA compliance and privacy policies.Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.Review and negotiate all agreements with outside vendors and customers.Work in partnership with information technology and security, human resources, and the company’s executive leadership team under the direction of the General Counsel.Collaborate with outside counsel on various matters of importance to the business.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesHighly organized and detail-oriented, with exceptional time management skills.Proficient in contract drafting, negotiation, and obligation management, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.Excellent written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex ideas concisely.2 to 5 years of legal experience, with specific expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management.License to practice law in the State of Texas required.Benefits401(K) retirement plans with matching contributions.Comprehensive health insurance coverage.Dental and vision insurance plans.Parental leave to support work-life balance.Short-term and long-term disability coverage.About ArcherARCHER Systems is a leading technology-enabled legal services company that provides pre-settlement and post-settlement administration services for a single event, mass tort, and class action cases with the goal of helping claimants access their settlement proceeds more efficiently and quickly.
