In this role, you will also be developing and implementing solutions for the firm’s delivery for these regulations from the OneReg platform. Get this opportunity to work on enhancements of existing OneReg MiFID and non-MiFID instances and adapting to a new expansive data fabric layer.We offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, ‘anchor’, days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). Please note that as we continue to embed our hybrid working environment, we remain in a test and learn phase, which means that working arrangements may be subject to change on reasonable notice to ensure we meet the needs of our business.What will you be doing?Assisting as required in the requirements analysis for system enhancements and changesTranslating business requirements into functional specifications if requiredParticipating in designing the technical architecture across all regulationsProviding technical guidance and mentoring for junior developers in the OneReg teamInterpreting and understanding functional specificationsDesigning and prototyping user-centric front and back end componentsUnderstanding and implementing brand values across all web pages, widgets, and reportsWhat we’re looking for:Four-year college degreeSeveral years of software development experience with expertise in RDDMS/NoSQL technologiesSeveral years of software development experience with expertise in Core JavaMore than two years of experience in a financial environmentSkills that will help you in the role:Solid design skills and experience working with high-volume data sets and high-throughput messaging and batch systems, JVM performance tuningIdeally have experience of working in an Ops Tech, Regulatory Reporting or Trade Capture environmentGood knowledge of one relational database server, preferably SQL Server. Able to implement tables, views, stored procedures and write optimized SQL statementsAbility to work independently and proactively and excellent communication skills
