Tax Manager, Private Equity

Our client is a leading private equity investment firm. They seek a Tax Manager, Private Equity to join their Los Angeles, CA office.

Responsibilities

Work with external tax accountants to review and file federal, state, and other returns

Liaise with Fund Accountants to perform tax withholding analysis on distributions

Collaborate with the Investor Relations team to address investor-related tax questions

Prepare taxable income estimates and review tax distribution calculations

Provide support to transaction tax structure and fundraising review process

Ensure compliance with FATCA, CRS, and other tax regulatory regimes

Receive, assess, and process federal and state tax regulatory notices

Work with Fund and external tax accountants to report annual 1099s and 1042s

Review Schedule K-1s/tax returns for reporting accuracy before disseminating and filing

Prepare use tax, property tax, LA City Business Tax, and SIFL calculations

Requirements

2+ years of tax accounting experience

Public (Big 4+) or combo background

Fund/financial services industry background

Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented

CPA strongly preferred
