The UNT System Human Resources Department is a team that supports various constituencies within our UNT System Enterprise while working together to achieve our vision of being values-driven and customer-focused with an emphasis on excellence, curiosity, and innovation.Position Overview

This position provides advanced HR consultation on a variety of complex employee relations matters to multiple business units to define and execute HR strategies that align with university culture. This position also manages and administers HR programs, ensures compliance with laws and regulations, and serves as a resource and mentor to junior team members.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Org. Development, Business Administration or related field and five years of progressively responsible experience in HR or related field, or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of human resource management principles and practices, including employment, compensation, employee relations, and relevant laws and regulations.Skill in oral and written communication, conducting interviews, and problem-solving.Ability to explain policies and procedures, maintain confidentiality, and establish effective working relationships.Critical thinking skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.Focused on providing a high level of customer service and follow-through.

Partners with university divisions to provide guidance on human resources issues in employee relations, performance management, and compliance with laws and regulations.



Assists with planning and execution of HR initiatives, providing oversight to ensure compliance.



Serves as an internal consultant for employee relations issues, providing coaching and evaluating effectiveness.



Conducts workplace investigations and prepares reports following best practices.



Identifies resources for coaching supervisors on employee experience issues.



Represents the HR department on committees and projects.



Provides strategies for professional development according to division needs.



Researches innovative HR practices and market trends to propose recommendations for improvement.



Collects and analyzes data to aid stakeholders in decision-making.
