Software Engineer III - Cloud Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Python scripting to help design, deploy and maintain our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing automation scripts, building and deploying microservices, and scaling cloud based systems.As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cloud Engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in the design, deployment, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. Collaborating closely with development teams, you will ensure efficient deployment and management of cloud services. This position offers the chance to work with state-of-the-art technologies and make significant contributions to our company's technological advancements.Job ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and maintain cloud-based systems using AWS, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.Work on AWS Cloud services like compute, storage, databases, network, application integration, monitoring & alerting, Identity & Access Management.Gain hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions.Ensure the security and scalability of cloud-based systems.Build and deploy microservices on cloud-based systems.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on back-end engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.5+ years of experience in cloud engineering.Strong knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.Proficiency in Python scripting language.Experience with container orchestration using Kubernetes.Understanding of microservices architecture.Familiarity with agile development methodologies.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsAWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.Experience with Cloud formation/Terraform for infrastructure as code.Knowledge of Docker and containerization.Experience with serverless architecture and technologies such as AWS Lambda.Familiarity with other scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell.AWS security services like Guard Duty, Inspector, Cognito, WAF & Shield.About UsChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
