The Cesar Chavez Foundation is seeking a full-time Director of California Partnerships who will create and implement a strategy to grow the Education Fund’s products and programs in California in order to impact 1 million learners and achieve sustainability by 2028 across the Southwest. This person will report directly to the Director of Growth & Partnerships.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop & Implement Growth Strategy in CaliforniaStrengthen market research, partner prospecting, and landscape/trends analyses to create a multi-year comprehensive growth strategy across California consistent with the Education Fund’s Strategic PlanImplement the growth strategy for CaliforniaManage a partnerships pipeline against goals and implementation of strategyBuild and strengthen strategic network to support the growth planStrengthen & Manage Business OperationsManage quarterly and yearly student impact and revenue targetsSupport internal partnership review meetings rooted in performance data to inform partner strategy and operationsImplement business plans and pricing strategy for the Education Fund’s products and programsStrengthen sales processes including prospecting, contract procurement, and billingCollaborate with CCF Strategic Communications Team to co-develop pitch, marketing materials, and social media campaignsCollaborate with Legal Team to develop partnership contracts and MOUsCollaborate with other CCF departments, as appropriateEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEExperience and strong track record in partnerships and/or salesBA degree required; MBA strongly preferred5-7 years of related experience in business, sales, external partnerships, or other related experienceQUALIFICATION AND DESIRED CHARACTERISTICSEmbodies a deep-seated belief in the ability of students in under-resourced communities to achievePersonifies the social justice ideals and values espoused by Cesar Chavez and embodies the “Si Se Puede!” attitude fueling the Farmworker MovementKnowledge of K-12 education landscapeStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh resourcefulness with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentExcellent ability to manage relationships at all levels of an organizationExcellent verbal and written communicationTeam player; pitches in wherever needed to help the team’s work lead to successMotivated to use data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and achieve the results that matter mostLOCATIONSouthern California, region flexible, with 30-50% travelCOMPENSATION RANGEA salary commensurate with experience in the range of $90,000-$100,000 is accompanied by a competitive benefits package that includes generous vacation and sick leave, 10 company paid holidays per year, health, dental and vision coverage for the family, and supplemental disability insurance options.Equal Opportunity Employer, including disabled and veterans.
