7:00 AM to 5:30 PMThis position is eligible for a $10,000 (minus tax) sign on bonus with work commitment for those with over 2 years' experience or $7,000 for those with less than 2 years' experience.*Current employees of any Northern Light Health organization or those with service breaks less than one year are not eligible to receive the sign-on bonus.*Summary:Under the direction of the Manager of Surgical Services and the Operating Room Charge Nurse, the Lead Certified Surgical Technologist will assist in the coordination, direction, and maintenance of all surgical service lines performed. The Lead Certified Surgical Technologist will serve as an expert, adhere to, and maintain the requirements specific to the job description required for assisting with patient care within the assigned work area, participate as a member of the health care team, and contribute to the care of the patient by following established Surgical Services standards.Responsibilities:Maintains sterile operative fields.Maintains an inventory of medical supplies and equipment.Assists healthcare practitioners during surgery.Protects patients or staff members using safety equipment.Maintains a safe environment complying with Northern Light Health policy and procedures; reports and directly addresses environmental hazards and violations of patient safety protocol when involved or observed.Participates in quality improvement monitoring.Participates in the structure and implementing orientation for new staff.May perform other duties upon request.Other Information:Minimum Experience:

5+ years recent full-time experience within an acute care facility as a Certified Surgical Technologist with experience within the identified service line(s). Preferred Experience: At least three years experience as a Lead or Certified Surgical Technologist within an acute care facility to include extensive experience performing cases within identified service lines.Experience mentoring and serving as a resource for new employees.Experience in standards and quality monitoring.Supply management and problem-solving skills.Current CPR Certification.Competencies and Skills:Behaves with Integrity and Builds Trust: Acts consistently in line with the core values, commitments, and rules of conduct.
