Prepare, review and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting workpapers in accordance with US GAAP and/or other bases of accounting for a variety of clients, with focus on the real estate and investment industriesDevelop and/or improve accounting and reporting processes for clientsIdentify, understand, and implement accounting and other reporting software for clientsDevelop relationships with clients, while becoming a main point of contactAdvise clients on accounting and general business practicesPreparation and review of payables associated with client operationsPerform monthly reconciliations to bank statements and other relevant source documentsReview expense classifications for reasonablenessReconcile and settle accounts between related client entitiesWork within a team to ensure client expectations are metCommunicate exceptions to supervisors, managers, and department head as applicableContribute to the growth of the department by participating in project workAbout Cohen & Company
