As Senior Legal Counsel, the candidate will be responsible for leading transactions, project management, identifying advantageous regulatory structures and working collaboratively with stakeholders across all departments. A successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, interacting with senior level management and providing support for the day-to-day guidance and legal advice for all aspects of the business.Job ResponsibilitiesDraft, negotiate, and review financial technology services agreements and complex commercial transactionsServe as subject matter expert and trusted legal advisor to all departments to assure compliance with applicable laws, regulation and contract termsEstablish successful working relationships and foster collaboration amongst teams, such as Sales, Product, Operations, and Finance, to achieve organization-wide goals and strategic initiativesLeverage expert knowledge of financial services regulations, privacy and data securityProvide legal support in corporate structuring and mergers and acquisitionsProvide advice, education, and legal direction to internal stakeholders, distilling complex legal issues into helpful frameworks or reference guidesUnderstand and support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls and procedures designed to create value or minimize riskAdhere to and apply Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requestedRequired QualificationsJuris Doctor from an ABA accredited law schoolMember in good standing of a state barExcellent drafting, analytical and project management skillsProven ability to understand business needs and requirementsAbility to effectively engage and communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior executive levelsPreferred QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of legal experience in Fintech SaaS contract drafting and negotiationExperience in the areas of data security, privacy regulation, RIA/BD/ERISA regulation or financial services experience a plus.Mature judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skillsExcellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskAbout Us
