SAFETY PILOT - CAMARILLO, CA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Flight Test Pilots to perform flight cards on newly developed or modified aircraft to assess safety, performance, and reliability.
Support both ground and flight testing procedures in accordance with established test plans and safety protocols.
Learn the SkyOS system and become familiar with our new, proprietary, fly-by-wire system.
Coordinate with flight test engineers and Test Pilots to develop test plans, test cards, and test procedures given requirements from the engineering team.
Support operational readiness by participating in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Assist in identifying, evaluating, and documenting any potential safety hazards during test flights.
Participate in post-flight debriefs to discuss test results and identify opportunities for process improvements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Rotorcraft-Helicopter commercial pilot license.
400 hours in an R44.
Over 100 flight hours in the last 12 months.
1000+ PIC total rotorcraft helicopter flight hours.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of the Robinson Pilot Safety Course.
SFAR 73 familiarity.
25+ hours in an R66.
