Analytical, problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of databases and application services. Basic theoretical understanding of design patterns and libraries. Trouble shooting skills. Proficiency in one or more programming languages, database technologies. Working knowledge of application development IDEs and tools. Ability to quickly learn new technologies. Work closely with BA’s, development team, QA, and design leads using Agile methodology.Work collaboratively to identify the business requirements.With some guidance, research and evaluate solutions, and recommend/develop/test the most efficient and cost-effective solution to meet business requirements that conforms to The Hartford’s coding standards.With some guidance, help create verification methods and procedures and participate in systems testing.Debug and troubleshoot defects.With some guidance, develop technical documentation for various project deliverables and phases.Will be trained in Guidewire Digital Portal Technologies.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company Sponsorship.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
