What You Will Do
Guidehouse has an exciting opportunity in our Defense & Security Segment to provide data analytics support for an emergency management client. Our data science consultants help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. Our high-performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, ranging from data architecture design, data engineering and querying, data visualization and dashboarding, predictive analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission-critical insights and data-driven decision-making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve operational effectiveness. This Consultant will belong to the diverse, talented, and collaborative Homeland Security and Law Enforcement team. They will support an emergency management client in applying advanced analytic and automation technologies to streamline and automate processes.
Key Responsibilities
Assess complex processes and identify opportunities for the use of advanced analytics and process automationImplement analytic and automation process improvements and monitor their successAnalyze various sources of data to identify key insights related to program goals and objectivesPresent analytical results and key findings within polished reports and briefingsWork with clients to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs)Develop dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making at all levels of the client’s organizationDevelop documentation and training programs (job aids, user guides, live demonstrations) to train client personnel on developed analytic and automation solutions and encourage adoptionContinuously solicit and respond to feedback to ensure that developed solutions best address client needsDevelop data processing and validation scripts to prepare data for downstream reporting, validate data quality, and reconcile identified issues
What You Will Need
US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public TrustBachelor’s DegreeTHREE (3) or more years of relevant experience in data science, analytics, or process automation; a master's degree may be used in lieu of TWO (2) years of experience.Proficiency in using Power BI or Tableau for data visualization and developing dashboardsProficiency in using Python or R for data science: data wrangling, statistical analysis, machine learning modelsStrong communication/presentation skills and ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiencesAbility to design and deliver solutions independently and work collaboratively as part of a teamStrong consulting skills: identifying and addressing client needs, building relationships, and driving initiatives forwardAbility to travel and work on client site up to 50% of the time in Sante Fe, New Mexico
