Senior Web Designer

The Senior Web Designer is responsible for managing, designing, and maintaining web based projects for our clients. This person is a goal-oriented individual who possesses exceptional attention to detail and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role requires interacting with and implementing UI/UX best practices and principles. In addition, the Senior Web Designer is required to work closely with the creative team to delegate tasks, as well as other departments at Youtech to make sure the goals of the client are achieved.Leadership

Oversee a team of Junior Web Designers and evaluate their performanceSet timelines and assign tasks for various web projects including WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce website buildsReview the work of Junior Web Designers to give guidance and feedbackAssist in preparing for client meetings and presentationsDetermine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clientsHold weekly team meetingsLead meetings with clients including creative meetings, design reviews, demos, and end user trainingWork with Project Managers and clients to identify requirements and project goalsProvide thought-leadership on Web design best practices and next-generation digital trendsCreate Web Design mock-ups via Adobe XD or Photoshop (Wordpress, Shopify, and Woocommerce)Design and develop WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce based websitesTest and improve the design of existing websitesIdentify and integrate various third-party applications to websites based on client needs and project scope (MailChimp, Constant Contact, Hubspot, etc.)Develop and maintain robust Web Style guides for all our consumer- and business-facing productsLead the development of a new brand and how to convey it cohesively across our multiple Web propertiesProfessional Skills & Qualifications

2-3 years experience designing, building, and managing WordPress, Shopify, and Woocommerce websitesProven experience of performing all technical aspects of a front end buildExpert in Adobe Creative Suite (DreamWeaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, XD)Proficiency reading and editing HTML/CSSExcellent design skills and ability to follow the branding guidelines from clientsExperience in email marketing (familiarity with MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.)Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with clients and other departmentsHigh levels of self-motivationAbility to create new compelling and competent designsAttention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven atmosphereA strong visual and technical portfolioKnowledge of browser compatibility across multiple platforms and devicesStrong ability to design with accessibility in mind
