Our work depends on Senior Data Scientists joining our team to significantly enhance our client’s threat mitigation mission.How a Senior Data Scientist will Make An Impact:Leading a four-person team of data scientists.Collaborating with current data science and analyst personnel.Creating new innovative methodologies to detect threats as the insider threat landscape evolves over time.Utilizing cutting-edge technologies for in-depth analysis of threat data.Building algorithms that directly impact end-user analysts for proactive risk detection and organizational mitigation.What You’ll Need to Succeed:BS or MS with 7+ years of experience in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or related fields preferred but not required.Required Experience:5+ years of experience with data solution pipeline: ongoing efforts to find gaps in program capabilities, design, and implement technical solutions that create value for the customer.5+ years of experience experimenting with modeling approaches to assess suitability given a set of business constraints, available data, and project timeline.5+ years of experience communicating technical results to clients with varying levels of analytic sophistication.Required Technical Skills:Experience with data wrangling of large datasets using commercial or open-source data science tools and big data frameworks such as Apache Spark.Experience with NLP and/or graph analytics.Experience in AI/ML deployments within customer environments.Proficient in writing reusable code in Python and SQL to refine through code review and discussion.Security Clearance Level:A current TS/SCI with CI poly active within the past 2 years.Required Skills And Abilities:Advising on how to mature and grow technical approaches for large data science programs.Ability to work independently and collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.Preferred Skills:Interest in keeping up to date with applied research to know what is possible and what we can apply for customers.GDIT Is Your Place:401K with company match.Comprehensive health and wellness packages.Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career.Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications.Cutting-edge technology you can learn from.Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
