Director Product Management, Agent Sales

In this position, you will be a single-threaded owner who works with Technology, Design, and Business teams to operate and reimagine GEICO’s agent sales experiences. These include our front-end experience, capabilities, and downstream services that support everyday sales needs from our agents.Responsibilities:

Building and leading multiple high-performing sprint teams that are accountable for building scalable, usable, and value-creating products and capabilities focused on optimizing agent experiences. The ability to coach Product Managers and practice hands-on leadership is a must-have.Increasing growth/sales in agent channel by optimizing the agent and end-customer experience. You will partner with Business, Design, and Technology to identify problem-solution fit in agent sales experiences, build a Roadmap based on data, prioritize solutions that empower agents to offer more products, in more placements, to more prospects, and deliver them with your team.Partnering with enterprise and shared services teams in Product, Design, and Tech to leverage reusable patterns, capabilities, services, etc. and/or to contribute new ones to the enterprise for broader consumption.Promoting and identifying effective ways of working and managing talent to drive sustainable results.Inspiring all levels of the company with a compelling product vision that is backed in data and focused on driving continuous value for customers, our agents, and our business.Rolling up your sleeves. You will at times need to lean in and support new teams and new ways of working with internal and external partners.Reporting on success, risks, and missteps - always using data, relationships and context to move the ball forward.Ideal Candidate:

Representing Product at all levels of the organization, building partnerships, and crafting an inspirational product vision that drives value for GEICO customers, associates, and partners.Assessing and decomposing a big market opportunity into a product/technology vision and then turning that into bite-size milestones focused on delivering iterative value. Artifacts include Vision, Strategy, Roadmap, Experimentation Plans, GTM plans, and ability to decompose into Epics & Features.Building and leading multiple high-performing teams that are cross-functional; coaching skills are a must. Excellent candidates have led initiatives that involve multiple sprint teams, hosted cross-team planning with business, product, design, and tech, and understand how to work in a matrixed org with dependencies and competing goals.Overseeing product/feature/capability rollout plans.Partnering with Technology leaders to influence end-state architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable product solutions that solve material customer and business problems.Leading a team through change and understanding when to dive into the details, write requirements (as needed), and lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions and business results through elegant UI, APIs, services, partner integrations, and other modern architectural solutions.Running experiments and leveraging data and instrumentation to drive roadmap decisions, celebrate wins, and communicate impact to stakeholders.Demonstrating a strong bias for action, partnership, and influence ability. This includes driving prioritization and feature requirement to capabilities teams as well as driving trade-off discussions and decision-making with technical experts and business stakeholders.Synthesizing business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into a Vision, Roadmap, and requirements.Creating and using compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders and communicate progress to stakeholders (ex. Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates, etc.).Coaching and mentoring Product Managers.Knowledge in Underwriting, Rating, and Insurance Product Offerings (i.e., Modeling, Telematics, Product Definition) is a plus.Basic Qualifications:

8+ years’ experience in product leadership positions with proven record of accomplishment.6+ years in Agile product management.8+ years of experience creating Consumer or Associate facing products.6+ years managing all aspects of a product feature throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery.4+ years leading, mentoring, and coaching product managers.Bachelor’s Degree.Preferred Qualifications:

High sense of accountability and strong problem-solving skills.Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change.Passion for coaching and mentorship.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to influence across the organization.Insurance industry experience preferable, not required.Agile certifications preferred (i.e., SAFe, Scrum Alliance, Scrum.Org, ICAgile, PMI-ACP).Annual Salary:

$128,000.00 - $224,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.At this time, GEICO will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.Benefits:
