Review requirements and technical design documents to create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and coordinate in establishing the use case scenarios for business users. Provide technical consulting on automation issues, tools, and quality assurance (QA) processes. Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts for testing SOAP and REST web services. Utilize CI/CD pipeline to help in continuous integration and deployment for executing regression tests. Maintain the automation code and resources in source code management tools Bitbucket/SVN repository over time for improvements and new features. Write SQL queries to validate the data in database tables along with performing Web Services testing, Functional testing, Smoke Testing, End-End testing, System testing, and Regression testing. Report defects with development engineers in resolution of problems and participate in Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Standup, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective. Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Chicago, IL.Job Location

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 4 years of experience in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. Position requires 4 years of related experience which must include some experience in each of the following skills: Developing Automation scripts in Java using Selenium, Maven, Cucumber and REST-Assured; Build release pipelines CI/CD (Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Bamboo); Object Oriented languages (Java or C#); API Testing and API Automation (Swagger, Postman, JSON, and JMeter); Database testing (SQL Server or Oracle); Maintain QA artifacts in Zephyr (JIRA), HP ALM, and Confluence; and Agile projects (Scrum/Kanban process).What’s in it for you
