This is a hybrid position. Please note this position would require working onsite at our office in Lansdale, PA for onboarding and training, and then at least once a week (every Tuesday) after the training period is completed. The OpportunityThe Director of Sales Operations is responsible for providing an extraordinary customer service experience to customers. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to achieve sales and customer service targets, driving revenue growth, ensuring efficient and effective order management and returns within the sales function, while driving the overall success of the Inside Sales, RMA, and Order Processing teams.This role plays a pivotal role in building a high-performing sales culture, developing talent, and implementing effective processes. This position encompasses a wide range of strategic, managerial, and operational duties to drive the success of the department and overall growth and profitability of the organization.

Your ImpactStrategic PlanningDevelop and implement strategies aligned with overall business objectives.Collaborate with executive leadership to set sales and customer service targets and goals.Team LeadershipRecruit, train, and lead a high performing team.Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the team.Stay informed about industry best practices and incorporate them into training programs.Performance ManagementSet and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess individual and team performance.Conduct annual performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.Provide regular updates on sales performance, customer service performance, order management, returns management and opportunities.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales, customer service, return, and order processes, team dynamics, and individual performance.Process OptimizationImplement and refine effective sales processes to maximize efficiency and productivity.Lead the strategic enhancement and optimization of the order processing and returns management workflows to maximize efficiency and accuracy while minimizing processing times.Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication.Sales Forecasting and ReportingOversee the tracking, development and measurement of all inside sales initiatives, including forecasting. Reviews sales and delivery plans developed for the inside sales teams.Customer Relationship ManagementFoster strong relationships with key clients and partners.Ensure a customer-centric approach within the team.Monitor, evaluate, and enhance customer satisfaction.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales efforts with overall business strategies.Ensure effective communication and collaboration across departments.Market AnalysisStay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.Use market insights to identify opportunities and challenges for the inside sales team.Budget ManagementDevelop and manage the department budget.Allocate resources effectively to achieve sales goals.Technology IntegrationStay current with sales technologies and tools.Continuously improve and leverage CRM systems and other relevant sales technologies.

What You BringBachelor's degree in business or related field.A minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales related role is required.A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a team.Proven experience in strategy creation for a sales department, preferably inside sales.Lighting Industry experience is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to handle conflict and difficult conversations.High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.Experience utilizing CRM software.Knowledge of Prophet 21 or ERP systems.Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.Excellent leadership, relationship management and customer service skills.Ability to be adaptable to ever-evolving business growth.Please note that we do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruiters or employment agencies.
