Key Responsibilities

As an AWS Application Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying applications using native AWS tools and services. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of scalable, reliable, and efficient solutions that harness the power of cloud computing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, and product managers, to gather requirements and design AWS-based application solutions.Develop and maintain applications using native AWS services, adhering to best practices for performance, security, and scalability.Utilize serverless computing, containerization, and microservices architecture to build modern cloud-native applications.Write high-quality code and conduct thorough testing to ensure robustness, including unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.Optimize application performance by leveraging AWS services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, AWS Lambda, Amazon ECS, and more.Implement security measures to protect applications and data, following AWS security best practices and compliance standards.Design and implement data storage solutions using AWS databases and services like Amazon DMS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Aurora, and Amazon Redshift.Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and management of applications using tools such as AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CodeDeploy.Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.Stay updated with the latest AWS services, features, and industry trends to continuously enhance the development process and application architecture.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications & Experience

Requires thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of a discipline and developed knowledge of other related disciplines, typically gained through a university degree (preferred) and 4-6 years of experience. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred); or equivalent work experience. Master or other advanced degree is a plus.Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications on AWS using native tools and services.Proven experience in developing applications on the AWS cloud with expertise in Linux environments.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and related popular libraries, Java, or Node.js, and familiarity with modern web frameworks.Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles, microservices, and serverless computing.Hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon ECS, Amazon API Gateway, and AWS CloudFormation.Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and infrastructure-as-code (IAC) concepts.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and deployment.Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.Knowledge of security best practices in AWS, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems.Experience working in distributed Agile teams.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional (preferred but not required).
