Your Career

The Prisma SaaS and data leak prevention (DLP) security team at Palo Alto Networks is seeking a motivated and talented Full Stack engineer. Our DLP service is the industry's first cloud delivered Enterprise DLP solution that uses AI and Machine Learning to automatically discover, classify, and protect sensitive data across everyday SaaS applications. This fast-growing cloud service provides visibility and real time security for SaaS applications such as Box, Dropbox, GitHub, Google Apps, Slack, Salesforce and many more.

We are running docker based microservice architecture on Kubernetes, leveraging Kafka, RabbitMQ and continuously using state of the art technologies while leveraging deep AI and ML to identify, and automatically remediate instances before they turn into a major security or privacy breach and to attack the world of SaaS security.

We are looking for someone who is a self starter, and has experience building highly scalable, and high quality products. Your Impact

Drive the architecture and development for key modules via architecture/design documents and developing key code modules.Develop architectures that are inherently secure, robust, scalable, modular, API-centric and global.Apply architecture best practices that helps increase execution velocity - Align solutions with the SaaS Security vision.Lead and/or Influence technology selection for SaaS Security solutions.Partner with Product Managers to define/refine roadmap, discuss trade-offs of key features and architectures, help them balance features, innovation and tech debt prioritization- Be a “sounding board” for PM ideas, propose new features and innovation ideas.Partner with Devops teams and other peers across the team to develop best-of-breed deployment architectures.Qualifications

Your Experience

5+ years of work experience preferably with a Masters degree (in computer science) or a minimum of 3 years of work experience with a PhD (in computer science) or equivalent military experience required.Prior experience as an architect supporting a cloud security product engineering team.Proven track record of successful architecture and design for high transactions and data volume in enterprise and/or consumer facing applications.3+ years of experience in Cloud technologies - AWS plus at least one other cloud provider (Azure, GCP or OCI).5+ years of experience with large scale cloud applications experience built with one or more these languages - Java, Scala, GoLang, Python.Expert in database technologies (e.g., MemSQL, SQL, Cassandra, etc.) queuing systems (e.g., Kafka, Pulsar, Akka streams, etc.) - The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in these technologies.3+ years experience in Apache Spark, data analytics frameworks.Good understanding of security, cloud security domain a plus - Experience with an enterprise security product (on-prem or cloud).Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of experience in building Cloud Security products.Experience building products with ML/AI techniques will be a big plus.5+ years experience to develop APIs (REST) based project using and experience with JSON.5+ years of experience in NoSQL DB (Mongo, Cassandra) and RelationDB.3+ years of experience in ElasticSearch, Redis and Kafka.3+ years of experience in modern containerization (& cloud) technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.3+ years of experience in mentoring junior team members in a high-performing teams.2+ years of experience in AWS/GCP/Azure cloud.Demonstrated ability to work closely with teammates in a highly collaborative environment and simultaneously be a self-starter with strong individual contributions.Big plus if you have CASB or general SaaS application experience.Big plus if you have experience with data security domain.Additional Information

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $124,600/yr to $201,650/yr.
