Static Data Contractor- Derivatives Operations, Chicago ILWho We AreGlobal Collateral Operations & Exchange Traded Derivatives Operations (GCO & ETD Ops) are responsible for the exchange of collateral to reduce counterparty credit risk and for the support of post-execution trade clearing and product lifecycle management. Our global team consists of a diverse pool of over 500 individuals spanning 16 cities across 7 countries. We provide front-to-back support for a broad range of Clients (hedge funds, market makers, trading firms, advisers, and investment banks), Global Market products and businesses including:Futures and Options & OTC Cleared (F&O)Prime Brokerage (PB)Global Wealth & Investment Management (GWIM)OTC Bi-lateral Derivatives (OTC)ETD Operations SupportsExecution, clearing and allocation of trades and position transfers to the highest quality standards.Futures and Options position life cycle management including option exercise and assignments, physical deliveries, expirations, last trade date monitoring, long date reporting, open interest adjustments and regulator inquiries.Daily Reconciliations and exception resolution, maintaining the integrity of the sub ledger for Listed and OTC Futures and Options products.Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting to Futures Exchanges and RegulatorsSetup and maintenance of static data, clearing fees, and memberships within sub ledger and ExchangesEnsuring compliance with regulatory and industry mandates across 15 Legal EntitiesProduction of reports and information required to comply with regulatory requirements and internal control policies.Researching and resolving problems within the line of businessDay-to-day analysis, research, and resolution of varied problems.The TeamThe Chicago-based ETD Operations Static Data Team is globally responsible for setting up and maintenance of static data, clearing fees, and memberships within GMI, EFS & Consensys. The team works with other regional BAU teams based in Charlotte, Chester, India, London, and Singapore, ETD Change team, other Operations teams, Front Office partners, and Technology to deliver outstanding client service and operational excellence. ETD Operations have embarked on an ambitious program to refresh their end-to-end technology platforms.Job PurposeStatic Data Analyst role supporting operations in the trading of global derivatives by maintaining various static data elements such as exchange-related fees, regulatory fees, product attributes, and execution fees. These data elements are critical in ensuring regulatory compliance, client satisfaction, and other key business factors. Daily, this candidate will investigate and analyze data to ensure the static is set up correctly along with communicating internally with various departments regarding static issues. Strong analytical skills are needed in order to determine the correct actions to take. Efficient yet accurate data entry skills are critical.Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintenance of static data elements within various internal and 3rd party applications of data related to fees and product setup.Analyze and update fee static within MMFEE table (GMI).Add and maintain exchange traded products within FUTM (GMI).Participate in operational improvement initiatives.Assist in the implementation of new systems that drive automation and increase accuracy of data management.Assist with checking the accuracy of other team members' work.Investigate fee breaks to ensure static data accuracy.Effectively communicate internally; including front office and client services personnel regarding various operational issues.Find opportunities for increased efficiency and accuracy within the day-to-day work.Participate in various projects and initiatives.Ensure all procedures are accurate and up to date.Various Ad-hoc requests.Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulations.Core SkillsConfident communicator who proactively identifies and raises risks and issues.Flexible in adjusting to demands and challenges, with ability to work at a fast pace, in a high-volume environment and meet tight deadlines.Experience and commitment to identify and drive improvements to existing processes.Experience of using GMI back-office software as well as 3rd party systems like Cesium, EFS & BPS.Strong communication, partnership, and relationship building skills.Candidate should be intellectually curious and understand what drives processes, with ability to assess risk, propose design of effective controls and implement to plan to streamline existing processes.Additional Desired Candidate QualitiesStrives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions.Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine the best path forward.Experience in connecting with a diverse set of stakeholders to understand future business needs - is a continuous learner.Commitment to challenging the status quo and promoting positive change.Participate in and drive collaborative efforts to advance tools, technology, and ways of working to better serve an evolving client base.Believes in the value of diversity so we can reflect, connect and meet the diverse needs of our clients and employees around the world.
