Senior Business Analyst

By understanding tech buyer content consumption, TechTarget creates the purchase intent insights that fuel effective marketing and sales activities for clients around the world.The Senior Business Analyst will play a key role in working with the business/product management/stakeholders to analyze software systems and define requirements for Product Development teams. You must understand business drivers, customer/stakeholder needs and thus define requirements for new features or enhancements in our products and solutions. Additionally, the position requires the ability to help with QA, as needed.Essential Job Functions:Work closely with the business and stakeholders to develop/enhance software systems.Lead requirements gathering activities and define requirements for development teams in a Lean/Agile format.Work with business and technology teams to define solutions.Develop a deep understanding of product functionality and how it relates to business goals and practices.Represent the business desire via kickoff presentations to development team and demos to stakeholders.Identify opportunities for improving the software development process/solutions.Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives.Define test cases and assist with testing, as needed.Competencies:Initiative: Must be able to research and suggest new ideas to improve features and functionality.Impact and Influence: Build support for ideas and improvements and see them through.Good presentation skills – comfortable and effective in communicating to an audience of varying roles and seniority, from Individual Contributor developers to Senior-level managers.Good problem solving/analysis skills.Good data analysis skills.Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:BS or equivalent degree.7+ years of Business Analysis experience.Must be comfortable working in a Big Data environment.Good skills in writing User Stories/Acceptance Criteria to capture requirements.Good documentation/diagramming skills to capture product workflows.Good database skills to perform SQL queries and analyze data.Good verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Experience working in a Lean/Agile environment.TechTarget may require applicants to satisfactorily complete a background check.
