This engineer will also help lead the way for our organization with Artificial intelligence (AI). They will shape the way we integrate capabilities of Microsoft first-party products including (but not limited to) Dynamics, Office, Azure, cutting-edge AI services (like Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Open AI), and partner products that demonstrate the feasibility of these products and services in a single solution.In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.Responsibilities

Be committed to delivering the best experience for our customers.Design systems that build trust with our customers by stitching together Microsoft products using low-code and AI with an emphasis on quality, performance, simplicity, reusability, scalability, and maintainability.Tackle ambiguity while working with engineers, project managers, designers, and partner teams to deliver a set of features with the right overall design and functionality.Remain current in skills by investing time and effort into staying abreast of current technological advancements that will improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our systems.Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering scalable solutions through a diverse team of engineers.Help create a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone can bring their full and authentic self and where we do our best work.Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR equivalent experience.

1+ years of AI - Machine Learning, Search, Cognitive Services; Some exposure to Open AI.1+ years experience with code repositories including but not limited: GitHub, Azure DevOps; as well as understanding of branching and tagging strategies; understanding of CI/CD pipelines.Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR master’s degree in computer science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

Experience with Azure Data and AI services.Knowledge of the AI open-source ecosystem.Knowledge of Cognitive Services (including Speech, Vision, Translation etc.) Azure Cognitive Search, and Azure Open AI or equivalent compete experience.Knowledge of large language model (LLM) and Foundational models toolsets.Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, LLM fine tuning, and chaining technology (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel).Experience with implementing Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures.Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,300 - $182,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $120,900 - $198,600 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
