Practice OverviewOur client was founded in 1929 and their mission is to ensure humane animal treatment and encourage the local community to be involved in animal welfare. They are one of the leaders in the nonprofit animal welfare sector. When providing care they are equipped with in-house IDEXX labs, digital X-rays, digital ultrasound, and more! As a progressive nonprofit, they supply low-cost veterinary care for those going through hard financial times to ensure their animals are cared for but also for shelter animals with no place to call home. As they continue to grow rapidly, they strive to provide education, positively impacting the community, and high-quality veterinary care.
What You’ll Be Working On
Nurture and maintain client relationships
Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases
Performing high-volume spays and neuters
Educate clients and staff on treatment options and recommendations
Maintain a positive work environment
Ability to provide outpatient care
Willingness to provide dental care
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program required
Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania
New graduates are welcome to apply!
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus
Proficient in soft tissue surgery and dentals
Shelter medicine experience is preferred
Eager to support the global non-profit mission
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment
