DHCS, Office of Legal Services (OLS), is recruiting for multiple permanent, full-time Attorney III positions on the Health Care Delivery Systems Branch (HCDSB), who will have the opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in California! Be part of a team that prides itself in making a difference for Californians.HCDSB provides advice and counsel to support DHCS’ managed care, integrated systems of care, behavioral health delivery systems, and behavioral health infrastructure and licensing systems. The Attorney III is responsible for house counsel services including the development of sound legal strategies and recommendations necessary to support implementation and ongoing administration of these health care delivery systems. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: performing research and analysis, preparing written legal opinions related to state and federal law and policies; drafting and reviewing legislation, regulations, and State Plan Amendments; providing advice and counsel regarding DHCS contracts related to health care delivery systems; assessing and advising program as to potential enforcement actions; and the provision of litigation support to the California and United States Departments of Justice.The Attorney III provides senior-level legal support and counsel to DHCS on complex and sensitive legal issues, as well as any litigation of any other legal issues that arise as a result of the DHCS’ activities and programs.
