Principal Data Engineer/Data Modeler

with an

Active Top Secret (TS)

clearance to lead this groundbreaking work.We are looking for a data expert with strong experience as a backend engineer or systems architect. The selected candidate will be required to be local to the DC-Metro area and be willing to work onsite in our Arlington, VA office at least four days per week.Responsibilities include:

Understanding customer and business requirements to develop and optimize conceptual, logical, and physical data models.Working with database engineers to guide the development and evolution of data models.Supporting the development of exemplar use cases, guidelines, standards, and documentation for design, use, and maintenance of data models.What you will need:

Proficient in SQL.8+ years as a backend engineer or system architect.2+ years of data modeling experience.BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field. In lieu of education, comparable experience will be considered.Active Top Secret (TS) with SCI Eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain polygraph.Nice if you have:

Experience with government Command and Control systems and military doctrine.Familiarity with existing data model standards, particularly cyber-related models such as Structured Threat Information Expression (STIX), STIX Cyber-observable Objects (SCO), etc.Knowledge of data serialization frameworks.Broad experience across various database types, including SQL, NoSQL, time-series, and graph databases.
