ExemptSUMMARY:The position of Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for supporting the management of the profitability system, budgeting/forecasting process, expense control, key metrics trends and scorecards, ALM model inputs, liquidity forecasting/stress testing, cost/benefit analysis and other ad-hoc financial planning and analysis requests.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Leads and supports the management of Profitability/budget system, including updating, balancing, troubleshooting the data input process, and setting up drivers for interest rates on various product lines.Solid understanding of the concept of profitability at the organization, product, channel, and member level, including FTP (Funds Transfer Pricing) calculation for loans and deposits.Assist in preparation of annual budget, including drivers of balance sheet and income statement items and compilation of budget information from various departments.Provide reporting and analysis to departments as needed, including variance reports, forecasting reports, and various ad hoc reports requested.Effectively work with external third parties involved in the ALM process and assumptions to ensure accurate and timely results.Responsible for monitoring the reporting schedule (Board, I-ALCO, and ALCO) and ensuring timely report preparation.Acts as an expert in understanding data for the software programs used to produce management reports for Profitability (Axiom) and ALM.Understands the credit union’s assets, liabilities, and financial objectives and ensures that reporting requirements specified in the credit union’s ALM, investment, and liquidity programs are met.Work with various lines of business to collect data, interpret data, and help manage the profitability of the organization.Monitors the ongoing liquidity position of the credit union, identifies events and trends, and helps produce liquidity forecasting reports.Prepares accurate and timely reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.Works with senior management to produce ad-hoc financial reports and charts.Builds and maintains appropriate profitability and product yield reporting.Able to assist in the preparation of the 5300 Call Report and monthly financial statements.Supports any aspect of the annual regulatory examination with the NCUA.Maintains adequate documentation of reports produced and sources of data to meet the requirements of auditors and examiners.Provides recommendations to improve financial analysis and reporting processes.Serves as a member of committees, as required.Prepares and updates financial management policies and/or procedures.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. required .Master’s Degree in the above-mentioned field and/or a certification

preferred : Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Management (FRM) designation.EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, balance sheet management, pricing, and/or profitability functions within a financial institution.Strong financial systems knowledge, preferably with previous experience using profitability systems such as Axiom.Demonstrated ability to take initiative and self-motivate; strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions.Experience in or knowledge of financial institution products, services, and records preferred.INTERPERSONAL SKILLSCourtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.COMPUTER SKILLSExtensive use of personal PC required with advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Must be proficient using e-mail and the internet.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONSNone required, but CFA or FRM preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
