This position is required to drive new business for both the group and transient markets and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, identifying upsell opportunities, and ensuring targets are met. The position requires a high level of understanding of the local market. The candidate has proven success through performance as well as a thorough understanding and competence in corporate sales and account management functions in the hospitality.Responsibilities Include:

Develop and execute growth strategies in both the group and transient accounts, selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to our groups and transient accountsConducting site inspections, participation in customer and local membership events, entertainment, and travel as neededProspect, acquire and develop group and corporate accounts as well as travel agencies to grow room night productionFocus on increasing market share and grow the portfolio of accounts to increase segment contributionEngage in contract negotiations with account prospects and existing customersOrganizing weekly sales calls and client eventsPreparing and presenting effective proposals and presentationsMaintaining well organized documentation and reportingParticipate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetingsEvery manager is expected to work as a team member with the other sales and events staff and well as the hotel operations team.Utilization of Hyatt technology systems and coordination of customer service requirements with hotel operations staff as appropriate.Hyatt is a place where high expectations aren't just met - they're exceeded.
