As a Software Engineer at CNET.com, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated front-end applications. Collaborating closely with other developers, UX designers, and other stakeholders, you will enhance user experience and functionality. Your expertise in front-end development and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in identifying and resolving issues. Additionally, you will stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain sophisticated front-end applications, ensuring the technical feasibility and implementation of UI/UX designs.Collaborate with other developers, UX designers, and stakeholders to enhance user experience and functionality.Write clean, efficient, testable, and reusable code, following best practices for front-end development.Develop and maintain testing frameworks for front-end code, performing thorough functionality and performance tests.Efficiently identify and resolve front-end related issues, analyzing technical requirements and proposing effective solutions.Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in front-end web development.Proficiency in HTML, CSS, SASS, and JavaScript.Demonstrated experience with Node.js and modern frameworks such as Vue.js or React. Knowledge of server-side rendering via frameworks like Nuxt or Next.js is a bonus.Proven track record in front-end development, with a portfolio or examples of past work.Solid experience building responsive web applications.Proficiency in version control tools like Git.Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

Cash Compensation Range: $80,000-$125,000.Note actual salary is based on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
