The Manager will have responsibility for a team delivering a platform for advanced sensors in the mining industry, including computer vision with deep learning, and digital signal processing on accelerometer and vibration sensors. The full stack includes React + Typescript front end, Scala, OpenCV backend, and MongoDB as storage.Job Scope / Responsibilities
Manage a team of software engineers who are accountable for the research and development of industrial sensors and control/optimization software.Interact with internal stakeholders.Mentor and develop your team while creating a workplace openness and engagement.Facilitate excellent documentation and architectural alignment.What You Bring
Experience with React + Typescript, Scala, OpenCV, MongoDB, and embedded software. We realize that it is unlikely that a candidate has experience with all the technologies used in this role. A successful candidate will have a subset of them, with a desire to work using them, and experience that would support fast adoption.8+ years of planning, developing, and delivering consumer software experience.4+ years of engineering team management experience.Experience partnering with product management teams.Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an industrial domain, preferably mining.Experience with industrial sensors, embedded software, and containerized deployments.What We Offer
