Position Title

LocationNYCB Plaza - 100 (Hicksville, NY)Job SummaryA BSA/AML Analyst is responsible for maintaining certain aspects of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program and assists in meeting and maintaining BSA/AML compliance requirements of the Bank. Complies with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), as well as adhering to the Bank’s policies and procedures to reduce loss/risk to the Bank.Assigned to a team that is responsible for performing investigations that may range from routine to highly complex. Performs in depth research and detailed account analysis reviewing and investigating cases on the Bank’s Case Management System. Assists in the monitoring and reporting of accounts where suspicious/unusual activity has been noted, and the review of AML Risk Assessment forms. Performs Continuing Activity Reviews, completes Suspicious Activity Reports and prepares case investigation documents for presentation at periodic account review and account closure meetings. Must possess excellent analytical skills and be able to handle multiple tasks concurrently.Pay Range: $58,500.00 - $83,000.00 - $107,500.00Job Responsibilities:

Works on a team that reviews/investigates alerts and/or cases on the Bank’s Case Management System. Team assignment may be structured according to skill level and complexity of work.Reviews CIP and KYC documents.Completes Continuing Activity Reviews.Completes Suspicious Activity Reports in a timely manner and in accordance with FinCEN’s guidance and regulations.Performs due diligence on customer accounts and report negative findings to BSA management.Performs review of suspicious activity monitoring reports.Compiles case files with supporting documentation for each investigation.Reviews AML Risk Assessment Forms.Refers potentially suspicious activity for escalation and account closure where appropriate.Communicates with branch personnel and management to verify accuracy of customer information & determine if activity in question is expected for the particular type of customer, and ensures all discrepancies are documented and resolved.Maintains a clear understanding of current regulatory BSA/AML requirements and guidance, including any updates/enhancements.Contributes in a team-oriented and collaborative environment to improve the analytical and reporting processes.QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.One (1) to three (3) years of work experience in banking and/or financial investigations.BSA/AML experience preferred.ACAMS Certification preferred but not required.Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Working knowledge and understanding of general OFAC, BSA/AML, and USA PATRIOT Act and risk management principles.Knowledge of core banking systems.Knowledge of BSA monitoring systems.Strong internet research skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
