The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the success of projects and process improvement activities in the portfolio. The Sr. Project Manager plans, executes and delivers all projects in accordance with business priorities and the project management framework.
Throughout the lifecycle of each project, the Sr. Project Manager leads/manages the project team, tracks project status, mitigates issues and risks, provides updates and facilitates team meetings. As assigned, lead or assist in the planning, implementation, and introduction of projects for new clients, processes, products, systems, and technologies from conception to the delivery of products and services for our Fintech and other external and internal bank clients. Ensuring scope and other documentation such as flow of funds, technical requirements, regulatory requirements, processor/network integrations, association rule and other project and SLDC documentation for the project / implementation are addressed as required. May or may not have direct reports.What You’ll Do
Creates and manages project plans for the project, portfolio, product prioritization, and implementation.Evaluates trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value.Designs, analyzes and develops process improvements.Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria.Builds, leads, and coaches multiple project teams concurrently throughout project lifecycles.Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects.Leads and facilitates collaborative design sessions with external and internal client or partner teams.Ensures all projects adhere to project management framework and compliance standards set by the company.Continually updates relevant business stakeholders of project status.Ensures all projects meet success parameters and ROI targets stated in the business case.Successfully drives projects with a leadership vision.Assists in managing the project management office (e.g., reporting, budget management, travel requests, administrative support, etc.) as needed.Supports other cross-functional initiatives (e.g., Risk Management, Business Continuity, Product Management, etc.) as directed.Collaborates with colleagues, industry peers, and functional teams to continuously improve the project management framework at MVB by defining and implementing best practices that add value.Collaborates with Card Brand Manager as needed to configure, implement, and manage card programs or related products.Works with Sponsor or Account Management to facilitate the transition from project / implementation to business as usual and servicing.Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in technology, computer science, engineering, business, or equivalent work or education related experience.At least 10 years of project management and/or process improvement experience, preferably in banking and card payments.Knowledge of banking technology stacks and how they integrate with one another.Understanding and experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean and/or Six Sigma).Excellent project management, organization, and team collaboration skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of treasury services, deposit operations and accounting operations.Demonstrated facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills.Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions at the moment.Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, unpredictability and a fast-paced work environment.Excellent data analysis, reporting, and business process analysis skills.Excellent project/time management skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to manage projects with little to no oversight.Strong knowledge of business objectives.Strong cultural change practices.In-depth understanding of project management concepts.Benefits At MVB
