Digital Promise centers our work in equity and values and rewards inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.About The PositionWe are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with expertise in data visualization using R shiny, Tableau, or other BI platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent R programming skills, and a passion for transforming complex data into actionable insights. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze and interpret data, create visually appealing and informative dashboards, and contribute to data-driven decision-making within the organization.ResponsibilitiesData Analysis:Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and outliers.Clean, preprocess, and wrangle data for analysis using R.Perform statistical analyses to extract meaningful insights.Manage complex data and work with structured and unstructured data.Data Visualization:Develop visually impactful dashboards and reports using Posit and relevant packages (e.g., ggplot2, Shiny, Rmarkdown, Quarto), Tableau, or Qualtrics dashboards.Design and create interactive visualizations to communicate complex information effectively.Ensure visualizations align with objectives and user requirements.Proficient in R programming language for data analysis and visualization.Stay current with the latest R packages and tools for data visualization.Collaboration:Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights in a timely fashion.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather feedback and iterate on visualizations.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and rapidly adapt.Translate analytical findings into clear and concise insights for non-technical stakeholders.Provide recommendations based on data-driven insights to leadership teams.Successfully manage competing priorities.Quality Assurance:Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations through rigorous testing and validation.Compile reports that accurately reflect the data and are informative to strategic metrics.Implement best practices for data visualization to maintain consistency and clarity.Quick turnaround on projects and ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.Documentation:Document data analysis processes, methodologies, and visualization techniques.Create user guides for interactive dashboards and reports.Qualtrics Integration:Leverage Qualtrics for survey design, data collection, and analysis.Integrate Qualtrics data with other datasets to enhance overall analytical capabilities.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science).7 years of experience in data analysis and visualization, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects.Strong proficiency in R (Rstudio) programming language and experience with relevant packages (e.g., ggplot2, Shiny). Employees are expected to travel at least 4 times a year for in-person meetings and the annual staff retreat. Must be willing to build inclusive relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization and external partners.Special Provisions: Occasional work outside of normal business hours, such as weekends and evenings required.CompensationWe consider candidate experience and location when determining where a candidate may fall within that range. Digital Promise Global offers a competitive total rewards package including coverage of 85% of health insurance premiums for employee coverage and 75% of health insurance premiums for dependent and family coverage, 15 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3% 401k employer contribution, 3% employer 401k match, and a flexible work environment.The full-time salary range for the Data Analyst (Data Visualization Specialist) position based on geographical regions are listed below, with exact salary depending on relevant experience.California:
