Sr. Platform EngineerPosition SummaryAs a Senior Platform Engineer, you will implement, extend, and maintain key technology platforms within the Guardian Connect program and ensure alignment with Guardian’s emerging consumer centric digital strategy. You will be an innovative platform and software engineer and will harness deep industry and technical expertise to develop and execute enablement of platforms and tools supporting software engineering at Guardian.You areA self-starter, continuous learner and a technical enthusiast who can transform abstract ideas into actionable customer solutions, who thrives in pioneering emerging technology and partnering across the company with engineers, technical managers, and project leaders.You have6+ years of proven experience in enterprise platform engineering, vendor product implementation and operationalization, lifecycle management, and customer support.3+ years practical experience in software engineering, development practice, and enterprise software development lifecycle processes.Expertise with administering, testing, deploying, supporting, and upgrading Static Application Security Testing (SAST) tools at an enterprise level (preferably SonarQube).Expertise with life cycle management of enterprise API management solution(s) (Postman, Swagger Hub, RapidAPI or similar).Practical experience building and shipping services with container technologies including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.Experience with databases such as My SQL, Postgress, SQL Server.Experience with secure programming practices, software delivery (CI/CD pipelines), Microservices, and cloud security principles (AWS).Experience with a wide range of modern infrastructure tools and technologies - Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, GitHub etc.Experience with developing custom components or integrations for vendor managed products (SaaS solutions).Experience with managing licenses, user provisioning, generating metrics/reports, and interacting with vendors.The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with business and executive stakeholders.The ability to quickly learn and teach others, have a growth mindset.The ability to accelerate impact and lead change.You willAs part of an Agile team, you'll be responsible for using your creativity, problem solving and technical skills to provide solutions in the development of enterprise software services and developer tools.Act as highest-level technical expert, resolving issues, assessing any potential risks, and identifying solutions for the products and services owned by the Guardian Connect team.Maintain life cycle management of SAST.Review SAST quality gates, plug-ins, and maintain language specific rules.Troubleshoot SAST Scan related build issues and any open Issues with the developer community & vendor, as necessary.Generate insights and metrics using SAST to represent the overall application health.Implement & configure API management solution(s).Monitor and maintain performance of enterprise platforms and services.Develop guides and documentation for supporting platforms and services and recommend best practices.Support & communicate with user community about the upgrades, outages, releases etc.Collaborate with an exceptional team of Software engineers, DevOps, DBAs, Continuous delivery engineers implementing solutions and developing new capabilities for the enterprise.You will be an active participant in design and code reviews, team processes, and product decisions.Contribute to the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies to support the architectural vision.Foster a culture of enablement, providing domain specific knowledge and best practices across the engineering organization, including KTs training, demos.Participate in talent development and recruiting.LocationHybrid, 2 Days a week at our office in NYC, Holmdel, NJ, or Bethlehem, PA.Up to 10% travel within US.Salary Range$91,260.00 - $149,925.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
