Foundation Risk Partners , one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding an Employee Benefits Account Manager to their SIP Insurance Services team in Orange Metro Region.

Job Summary : To coordinate and manage various Group and Voluntary Insurance plan open enrollment periods, Life Events, COBRA, Billing and Reconciliation for Foundation Risk Partners Benefits Brokerage Clients. Understanding online enrollment systems is an important part of the job, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.

Essential Functions of Position:Understanding Group Insurance Benefit Plans and explaining to our Clients' Employees during live presentations and phone support.Building plan data and associated rules for open enrollment and life events into the online benefits portal and adjusting when plans and rules change.Updating all client and employee cases into Applied Epic, handling Employee Benefit Issues, and communicating effectively to all parties involved.Assisting in the management of the benefit plan renewal process when needed.Helping negotiate with vendor or administrator for renewal when needed.Examining plan design and benefit cost changes necessary for updating online portal and communicating to clients and employees.Planning and scheduling your work.Ensuring compliance with applicable government regulations such as the Health Care Act and HIPAA.Assuring timeliness and accuracy of your work.Helping develop long-range objectives regarding benefit programs in conjunction with your producer.Administration: Processing, Functional:Enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships, compliance testing.Overseeing maintenance of employee benefit files and updating of employee payroll records.Gathering employee data and overseeing the processing of monthly billings and reconciliation for select Clients.Allocating group health and dental claims experience monthly and reviewing quarterly when needed.Customer Service, Communication, Training:Providing customer service support to internal and external customers.Developing communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.Designing and distributing materials for benefit orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions.Creating and conducting presentations using audiovisual tools including PowerPoint and video.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of company policies and procedures is preferred.Must hold valid CA L&H license with at least three to five years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience.Professional designations preferred.Excellent communication and organization skills are required.Excellent Excel and MS Office skill set.Project and team management/leadership skills and experience is helpful.Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capability of effective planning and priority setting with the ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously under pressure.Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ADP WFN, and HRB, Salesforce.com or similar CRM are essential.Knowledge of benefit contract language.Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements affecting employee benefit programs.Understanding of Retirement Plans (i.e. 401-K).Pay Transparency Range:$30—$35 USD
