Currently we are seeking an experienced Marketing Director to join the RJN family.Position Summary:The Marketing Director at RJN Group will oversee the development and execution of marketing strategies, products, and services. You will drive the overall marketing, branding, and communications strategy in alignment with our business objectives. Strengthening connectivity with staff across regions and divisions is crucial to maintaining core brand values and understanding the unique needs of different communities. Guide and balance team priorities; provide resource planning for marketing team members; coordinate with multiple consultants and vendors; help guide individual and team skill development, seek opportunities to meet short-term department needs and longer-term individual career goals.Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to persuade, inspire, influence, and engage with a variety of leadership staff and client audiences. Direct development of internal communication platforms. Each area encompasses strategic and forward-thinking leadership, as well as ensuring excellence of execution.Marketing Strategy:
Work closely with the Vice President of Client Services, project and account managers, geographic leaders, and department colleagues to strengthen supporting systems, processes, and tools; identify innovative marketing opportunities and approaches; and outline priorities to elevate our stature, strengthen our business base, and provide outstanding support services.Proposal Development and Management:
Develop standards and workflows to ensure effective communications between all firm stakeholders for business opportunity proposals. Ensure consistent messaging in line with the firm’s brand is consistently communicated throughout the proposal. Responsible for overall quality control to ensure messaging and proposal documents meet all client requirements and are submitted on time. Requires strong organizational and written skills.Brand Positioning Programs:
Advance the firm’s thought leadership through print and digital publications, videos, and direct marketing; lead continuous growth of the firm’s visual identity through our digital, social, print, and video materials and ads; work with individual offices to bolster our impact through conferences, events, and speaking opportunities.Marketing Technology Platform Management:
Continue to evolve the firm’s marketing technology infrastructure with tools and platforms for all outbound communications; continuously review and assess technology-based platforms that can enhance marketing and business development performance through greater audience engagement, improved internal efficiency and effectiveness, and greater competitive differentiation.Experience Database and Proposal Generation:
Oversee the continued development and maintenance of the firm’s centralized repository of case experience descriptions, bios, and other marketing-related descriptive text, which also encompasses our proposal generation tool and repository of final proposals.Tradeshow and Professional Organization Involvement:
Oversee the corporate tradeshow process, including working with individual offices to determine level of involvement at conferences and trade shows. Oversee the management of tradeshow booth graphics and equipment, sponsorships, giveaways, and overall branding and exposure at professional events.Editorial:
Continue to elevate the firm’s thought leadership, as well as proposals and collateral materials; ensure quality excellence in internal and external communications.Minimum Skills & Experience:A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.A minimum of 10 years of experience in marketing roles within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred (professional services environment at a minimum).A minimum of 5 years in a management position with direct reports.Proposal process management experience, including delegating responsibilities, managing team workload, assisting in go- / no-go process, proposal strategy development, and meeting deadlines.Strong technical writing and proofreading skills.The ability to provide a strategic link between marketing communications activities, brand, and business outcomes.Management experience, including:The ability to achieve goals by leading with influence in a non-hierarchical and collaborative culture.The ability to lead a team of professionals to their best potential by providing timely and constructive feedback for team and individual growth and development.Experience leading corporate branding, digital marketing, and corporate thought leadership development.Ability to understand and deal with complex material and concepts; demonstrated intellectual curiosity and interest in learning the firm’s work.Proficient in Word, Excel, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and PowerPoint required.General technology proficiency.Preferred Skills and Experience:The obtainment of a postgraduate degree or certificate such as a master’s degree is preferred.A minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing roles within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry is preferred (professional services environment at a minimum).Experience using Power BI, Teams, Canva, and other marketing and graphic design tools preferred.Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, direct marketing applications, and website tools.Membership and active involvement in professional organizations, either related to career path or company industry.Direct Reports:Marketing staff, including, but not limited to proposal coordinators, tradeshow coordinators, and summer interns.Physical Demands & Work Environment:The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
