In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting Roo during an exciting phase of growth by developing new features using cutting-edge front-end, back-end, and mobile native technologies. Your primary focus will be on mission critical offerings within our veterinary marketplace.As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, with occasional travel to San Francisco for cross-functional events or meetings as needed.Your ResponsibilitiesWork closely with our product managers, designers, data analysts, and other engineers to build new features for the Roo platformCollaborate with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into technical solutionsParticipate in design, and development of scalable code architectureParticipate in architectural discussions and contribute ideas for system improvementWrite clear maintainable code on the front and back-end while following best practicesContribute code to our React Native mobile applicationEnsure code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practicesBuild unit tests with jest and end-to-end tests with CypressAssist out with Dev Ops as neededStay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our platformQualificationsMinimum of five years of hands-on experience developing web applications within a dynamic and fast-paced product team environmentExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesStrong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practicesExpertise in back-end technologies such as Node.js, Express.js, Python, or JavaExpertise in web front-end technologies such as ReactExperience with relational databases writing complex and efficient SQL queriesExperience with typed languages, React Native, native mobile development, and working with AWS is a plusBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)About YouHighly self-driven with a passion to solve problems and research solutionsExtremely agile & flexible, since we are evolving continuallyDemonstrates empathy and collaboration within the team, across teams, and across functionsTrustworthy with impeccable integrity, authenticity, and high ethical standardsGreat attention to detailsCan do positive attitudeWe have diverse, passionate & driven team members from a variety of backgrounds.
