As a Sr. Business Analyst, WM/EWM, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Simpson Strong Tie’s corporate SAP ERP System, with a focus on Warehouse Management.The Sr. Business Analyst will be responsible for working with business process owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand business processes within the area of Warehouse Management, Logistics and Shipping. The WM/EWM Analyst’s focus will be on ensuring that solutions designed in our SAP ERP environment are completed with a sustainable, high quality, and best practice design in mind.The ideal candidate will have experience in the WM/EWM and Shipping SAP modules as a functional/technical expert and hands-on configurator, but will have also had a broad understanding of SAP across multiple SAP modules. He/she should have implementation experience with a global manufacturing company, and understand both systems configuration, and overall systems architecture in an SAP environment. He/she should be familiar with SAP’s ecosystem of solutions and solutions providers, and be able to guide business decisions on functionality, software selection, and vendor selection.The Sr. Business Analyst WM/EWM will also be responsible for technical delivery and have project management responsibilities as part of his/her job role. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface and manage relationships with business partners, IT, senior management and vendor organizations. This position is a member of the Project Management Team reporting to the IT Manager, Sales Systems.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

Manages projects of small size and scope with minimal direction including project planning, execution, timing, functionality, quality and cost. Delivers portfolio of approved IT projects/deliverable on time, on budget, with expected quality and value generation. Translate user’s requests into application system solutions. Analyzes system user requirements to define and design system configuration, enhancements, and modifications. Resolves business issues by working with various groups within and outside of the company (ie. system users, company management, consultants, and software support staff) Work in multidisciplinary teams to define and design complex processes and procedures for the configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP and related application systems. Designs test plans, executes test scenarios, validates test data, and documents test results. Coordinates end-user training documentation and trains end users as required. (60%)Develops functional standards, best practice guidelines, solution diagrams, and documentation standards for all ERP and related solutions. Ensures that standards are adhered to, and that documentation and change control processes are followed across the Applications Organization. (15%)Works with partners and vendor organizations and provides oversight on all functional deliverables. Ensures that we have consistency across all our processes and enhancement work. Ensures that work provided by partners meets Simpson’s internal standards, and is ultimately accountable for the solutions delivered. (15%)Participates and provides input to overall IT Systems and Applications Strategy for IT, and drives the overall realization of value for IT Initiatives. Will be jointly responsible for Data Governance initiatives and will help to make sure that Data Governance goals are met. (10%)Desired Skills And Experience

Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:B.S. degree in engineering, computer science or related technical field, required.PMP Certification, preferred.SAP Certification in one or more modules, preferred.A minimum of 7+ years SAP implementation experience with hands-on configuration experience in the WM/EWM Module.Hands on Experience in SAP WM/EWM with at least 2 implementation projects SAP ECC/ S4 HANA.WM/EWMS layout and structure design knowledge.Experience in designing and configuring the system for following business processes such as Inbound Processes (GR, Direct Put away, Put away Rules & Strategies). Outbound Processes (GI, Storage Control, Packing), Internal processes (Replenishment, Warehouse Monitor), RF Framework; Structural Elements (Warehouse Process Types; User Profiles; Supply Chain Unit, Storage Type and Roles, Storage Sections, Activity Areas, Bins, Bin Structure, and WM/EWM queue management.Experience with warehouse master data, LSMW creation, LE quantity, Replenishment and Control Quantities updates.Experience in Inventory management, physical inventory, handling unit management, shipping, cross docking, labor management, and transportation management.Integration experience with third party WM/EWMS system, mobile and RF solution.Knowledge of Batch determination.Experience in managing functional and ABAP resources during projects and collaborated with ABAP professionals for user exits, custom reports, and internal service requests.WM/EWM integration knowledge with FI, SD, PP and MM module.Execute Logistics Execution processes in test scripts (WM/EWM, deliveries, and shipments) and provide support in defect resolution.Understanding of WM/EWM-PP Interface, WM/EWM-IM Interface, WM/EWM-QM, WM/EWM-RF barcode scanner interface.Experience supporting manufacturing plant personnel with day-to-day ERP system processes.Experience with IDOCs.ShipERP /SAP TMS/Mercury Gate experience is a plus.Knowledge and exposure to EWM/EWM is a plus.EWM/EWM business processes understanding and configuration with S4/ HANA.Business process understanding on process oriented storage control processes and layout oriented process controls.Experience with batching / wave planning, consolidation, slotting and rearrangement, RF device integration, reports for labor management, label printing and yard management.Very good communication skills, people management skills.SAP certification(s) is a plus.Responsibility for designing custom solutions within the ECC landscape as well as solutions involving integrations with external systems.Global manufacturing company experience preferable with both discrete and continuous manufacturing models.Physical Requirements And Work Environment
